FIRB 2010: Il paesaggio di una grande strada romana

DTM

The points of the topographic survey have been imported in ArcGIS Desktop and reclassified according to their type in order to complete a map of the local topography and structures of geo-archaeological interest. A high resolution DTM was then obtained by interpolation of the measured data.

Anthropic elements, which have caused significant changes in the natural topography have been used as barrier lines. The result of such analysis has allowed an accurate representation of the structures along the slopes, such as quarries and rock cuts, which have altered the landscape.

The DTM has contributed to improving the topographic and geoarchaeological documentation of the studied area.
