During the project works, the SIT has been an available resource for an immediate management of all evidence gathering from the study area; it has been set as an updatable and implementable tool for the analysis of distinguished data in a systematic and controlled mode.

Storing of archaeological and geomorphological data was done contemporaneously with their graphic editing by means of GIS software and tools. Data taken from both operative units were included and are now visible as data-sheets. These contain detailed descriptions of single geoarchaeological evidence, are related to further data field and linked to a georeferenced location on the cartographic base map.
Data storing and management allowed the integration of data collected both from previous studies and during this project; this activity pursued as main goal a better knowledge of the ancient territory through a diachronous reconstruction. Finally, the SIT has been functional for leading integrated analyses of geomorphological, environmental and archaeological data.
